We are excited to announce the arrival of Mike Miller to our team at Smoky Mountain Park Arabians. Mike brings a winning way to our effort to breed, train and show the finest English Pleasure and Park performance Arabians possible. Mike grew up in Wisconsin and began his involvement with Arabian horses through 4-H at theage of nine. He progressed to various open shows and then to breed shows, ending his youth career with National Top Ten wins in HA English Pleasure and Saddle Seat Equitation.
Mike attended Colorado State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Equine Science. He began professionally training Arabian, Half-Arabian, and National Show Horses in 1992. A licensed Arabian judge since 2003, Mike has his “R” and enjoys the change of pace that judging provides. From 1994-2007 Mike owned and operated Showhorse Training Center. He spent 2007 and 2008 honing his skills while working alongside Joel Kiesner at Kiesner Training Center in Louisville, Tennessee, which is just across the lake from Smoky Mountain Park Arabians. In the fall of 2008, Mike joined us at our facility in Lenoir City TN.
Mike has a great ability to connect with and inspire confidence in riders of all ages. Mike, his adult amateurs, and his youth riders have enjoyed a great deal of show-ring success in a variety of disciplines, earning a total of:
